Since today is April 13th, I will post the 13 Dhutaygas (Ascetic Practices) of Buddhism
1. wearing abandoned clothing (used clothes)
2. owning three outfits (limited clothing)
3. collection by means of one's bowl (begging)
4. food collection without skipping houses (no preference)
5. a single meal (one meal per day)
6. everything within the bowl (eat anything given)
7. no longer accepting any extra food after having started to take the meal
8. to remain in the forest (to stay in one place)
9. to remain beneath a tree (to have a very simple residence)
10. to remain on the bare earth without shelter (having nothing, owning nothing, living nowhere and anywhere)
11. to remain among charnels (be near the dead for awareness sake)
12. to sleep at the alloted spot (to sleep at the same place?)
13. to renounce to the lying posture (to sleep sitting up)
